As previously discussed in the course modules, High Leverage Practices are used

As previously discussed in the course modules, High Leverage Practices are used as the standards of practice in many teacher preparation programs and teachers, particularly special education teachers should be able to apply them within their educational environments. The HLP domains and practices have been developed through the review of previous practices (e.g., collaboration; evaluations) which were selected based on their empirical and evidenced based qualities.
This assignment will consist of two parts: Research Paper and Self-Reflection
Research Paper:
You will conduct research (three-pages- for each domain excluding cover and reference page) on the theoretical and historical underpinnings for the basis of each domain including practices within the domain that have current and seminal supportive empirical literature.
Self-Reflection:
Evaluate (two-pages for each domain) your current/future educational environment and discuss with explicit examples for each domain how you have implemented HLPs. You will also discuss which HLPs were new as a result of this course and other courses during the institute and how you are implementing them or intend to implement them. Provide an overall perspective of the use of HLPs within the teacher preparation program.
Research is explicitly conducted for each of the four domains related to the theoretical and historical underpinnings.
Research identified some specific practices within domains that have been supported with empirical literature since the inception of IDEA.
Self-reflection discusses explicitly each domain and what evidenced-based HLPs the scholar has used.
Self-reflection explains explicitly in each domain what evidenced-based HLPs the scholar was introduced to as a result of the course, will use now or in the future and why.
Overall explanation and perspective on HLPs being introduced and/or reviewed within the context of their teacher preparation program.
All sources are to be scholarly peer-reviewed articles/publications and reference page must have URL or doi for each source.
Paper is to be written in American English, Times New Roman font 12.
